Being a Mom is very rewarding: I have all these skills and talents that I never noticed before and took for granted. Kids point them out and make you feel so good about yourself! I got a round of applause for killing a "Spider!! BIG!"

Summer LOVES her food. Lately she has discovered something Very entertaining! I put a spoon-full of baby food in her mouth and she says "Tttthhhhppppbbbb" and it shoots out everywhere :)

River's new word: Awkward! She fits it in anywhere she can. It's too cute to hear - Awkward!

I walked in the bathroom to see Silver washing her hands in the toilet.

Silver: "I See!" "I See!" This is how she says "Hide and Seek!" It took me awhile to figure out what she wanted me to see :) She is really good at hide and seek. She'll hide quietly for quite a while until someone finds her. Sometimes she'll go into Colt's dark closet to hide and is quiet as can be :) She'll also hide stuffed animals in random places and have you go find them. Of course the places are usually where they were hid last time.

River: "I LOVE cooking food.....I just don't like eating it so much."

Silver: "Barbie Time Outs!" A little bit later: "Barbie Happy Now!" "Barbie SO tired" "Barbie Sleeping!"

Silver will lay out a pillow and put stuffed animals on it and cover them with a blankie. Then say "Sssshhhh, sleeping!"

I wish I had a camera right now! River and Silver are out with the neighborhood girls going "cat hunting!" 5 little girls running around trying to find the cats. When I was little we had a "forest" in back of our neighbors house. It had an irrigation ditch and willows that grew, and the vegetation was thick to a 5 year old. One day while we were exploring we found a nest of baby cats that we promptly took home. That was such a great day to find those cats. Every day after that we would go exploring trying to find another nest....we never did find another batch, but we were great searchers, and it was so much fun!
